PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Do you want to spend 12 months in the capital of Slovakia and help people through your creativity? Who: 18-30 years old from EU countries interested in social work with people of all ages and backgrounds in the family center Where: Bratislava, Slovakia When: starting since April 2019 (12 months) Costs covered by Erasmus+: accommodation, food, pocket money, insurance, travel About the project Centrum Rodiny (website, Facebook) is a non-profit organization in Bratislava. They offer regular free-time activities, educational, counselling and social activities for the community around, for people of all ages and backgrounds. At the same time, it offers space and support for those who want to share knowledge, talents, skills and time with others. Centrum rodiny promotes volunteering and encourages the community members to be active citizens and become a positive changemaker in the society. The project is supported by European Solidarity Corps programme.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Following costs will be covered from Erasmus+ program: Accommodation, food, pocket money, insurance, travel costs, language course, support of supervisor, personal mentor.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
A volunteer will help with the following activities: Organization of free time activities for children (music, dancing, English lessons or other) Managing the website and creating promotional materials Participation on the summer camp in the community center Coordination of company´s volunteers Activities with handicapped and autistic children Collection of food and clothes for disadvantaged people Organization of community activities (barbecues, carneval, Christmas party, concerts, creative workshops etc.) Manual work (gardening, painting of interior etc.)
